By using the Valo app and website you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read these terms carefully.
Valo is an intermediary digital platform that connects riders with licensed taxi drivers. Valo is not a taxi operator; it is a technology provider that offers access to existing licensed taxi services and a booking experience. The physical performance of the ride is the responsibility of the relevant driver and their licensed operator.
To use the service you must be at least 18 years old, register with a valid Turkish mobile phone number and keep your account details accurate. You are responsible for all activity on your account. If your account details are shared or your password is compromised, you must notify us immediately.
When you create a taxi booking, Valo matches you with a suitable available driver. Once matched, the driver and vehicle details are shown in the app. Cancellation and no-show rules apply when the driver reaches you or when the rider does not appear after the driver has reached the pickup point.
The fare is calculated based on the current taxi tariff and the actual route / duration. The price preview in the app is an estimate; the final fare is determined at the end of the ride. Payment is collected via the selected method (registered card, digital wallet, or cash). Invoicing is performed within the legally required timeframes.
If you cancel a booking after the driver has accepted it and within an unreasonable time, a cancellation fee may be charged. A no-show fee may apply if the rider does not appear after the driver has reached the pickup point. Any cancellation fee is shown in the app before the ride starts.
You agree to use the service lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited behaviour includes: creating misleading or fake accounts; aggressive, discriminatory or threatening conduct toward drivers or others; boarding the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and endangering the driver; deliberately soiling or damaging the vehicle. Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
Only drivers and vehicles licensed by the relevant transport authority may join the Valo platform. Document validity is regularly verified. Even so, Valo is not a direct party to the ride-service contract concluded between you and the driver.
Valo reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend your account, refuse bookings or limit access in case of suspected abuse, fraud, misuse, legal violations or breach of these Terms. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service at any time.
Valo is not a party to the taxi service contract concluded between the driver and the rider. Liability for accidents, delays, lost items or injuries arising during the ride lies primarily with the relevant driver and their licensed operator. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valo cannot be held liable for indirect, special or punitive damages.
You may close your account at any time via in-app settings or by writing to [email protected]. After your closure request is received, the account is closed within a reasonable period; data subject to statutory retention obligations may be kept in anonymised form for the relevant legal period.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Istanbul Central Courts and Enforcement Offices are competent for disputes arising from these Terms or from use of the service. The jurisdiction of consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts for consumer disputes is reserved.
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced to you via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Valo collects error reports and performance metrics so we can fix bugs faster. No marketing, no third-party trackers. Accept to help us improve, or reject to opt out — both choices are remembered for a year.
